Kept me Reading

I enjoyed this book. It starts out an engaging character in a new place, haunted by memories of her past and struggling with her fears around venturing out of her sanctuary to keep a promise. This is the kind of book that draws you in after a few pages and pretty soon you realize you’ve been reading a lot longer than you’d intended.
While the story picks up with familiar characters from the previous book, but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to have read the first one to start here. It kept me reading to the last sentence and left me wanting more.
